His research focuses on symptom control in neurological diseases, particularly pain. He has a special interest in the use of non-invasive brain stimulation techniques such as transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to investigate and modulate pain-related neural circuits. He serves as Vice President for Research at EFIC (European Pain Federation) and is a Section Editor for the European Journal of Pain.
